Accommodation : Comfortable accommodation is provided in two houses for primary care; one single sex, one mixed sex. Most rooms are shared, with one other client of the same gender in the mixed sex house. Facilities include a TV lounge, dining room and communal outdoor space. The houses are a short walk away from the alcohol treatment centre, and have a housekeeper and a cook who prepares delicious homemade food.
Ethos : To provide a treatment programme that gives clients the structure and care they need to allow them to find a way to long term recovery from alcohol dependence.
Alcohol Treatment : The programme focuses on the 12 step model of abstinence and includes group therapy, one-to-one counselling, lectures and workshops. Holistic therapies, such as Reiki, Indian head massage and relaxation, are offered.
Staff : The team is led by a Clinical Director and includes psychotherapists and senior, junior and trainee counsellors.
