Accommodation : This clinic is set in an elegant building with accommodation for 26 clients. All bedrooms are individual and en-suite with TV and telephone. Facilities include a tennis court, recreation room and art room. Services for clients such as a visiting hairdressing and aromatherapist can be arranged within the hospital during their stay.
Ethos : To help those with an alcohol dependence to take control of their lives and regain a healthy physical and psychological balance
Alcohol Treatment : Programmes are individual and based on the 12 step abstinence model. They include cognitive behavioural therapy, individual and group counselling and therapy, and educational workshops, such as healthy living. Holistic therapies, including yoga and relaxation, are provided. The client’s family is encouraged to become involved in the alcohol programme in order to give them a greater understanding of alcoholism and to aid recovery.
Staff : A highly experienced team of mental health professionals, alcohol addiction specialists and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists.
