Accommodation : Clients on the primary care alcohol addiction programme stay in a tastefully renovated sober house a short distance from the day treatment centre. The house is set within private walled gardens and is staffed at all times. Those on the extended care programme move to stylish properties where they have increased responsibility and are staff visits and telephone calls.
Ethos : Two steps. Helping alcoholics understand their alcohol dependency initially. Then enabling them to develop the skills and attitudes for a long-term recovery and a life without alcohol.
Alcohol Treatment : Based on the 12 step model of abstinence, the primary alcohol treatment programme includes group therapy, one-to-one counselling, life skills workshops, cognitive behavioural therapy and relapse prevention. The extended care programme allows clients to put the skills they have learned into practice and to develop strategies to deal with relapse triggers.
Staff : Highly qualified counsellors and therapists, many of whom of whom have personal experience of alcoholism.
