Accommodation : Situated in 3.5 acres of tranquil park-like grounds, there is plenty of quiet walks and fresh air. The clinic is well-decorated and spacious. Most bedrooms are shared but clients may be offered a single room as they progress.

Ethos : Recovery from alcoholism is possible in a therapeutic community setting.

Alcohol Treatment : Ahead of admission, clients may have to undergo an alcohol detoxification, although the clinic may be able to arrange a medically supported inpatient detox. Primary care for alcohol addiction lasts a minimum of six weeks. An extended alcohol care programme can be taken for a further six to eight weeks. Treatment is comprehensive and tailored to individual needs. It incorporates a modified 12 step approach, with group work, one-to-one therapy, relapse prevention workshops, life skills training and family counselling. Clients come together as a surrogate family, helping each other to heal from the isolation and loneliness that may have developed with their alcohol addiction.

Staff : The team is highly experienced in the field of alcohol addiction and mental health. It includes a psychiatrist, GP, chartered counselling psychologist, family therapist, psychotherapist and an addictions/12 step counsellor. Other specialists join the team as necessary,
